Pool Technician

Thebarton Aquatic Centre is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Pool Technician to join our team.

This role is responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the daily pool operations of all three pools in Thebarton Aquatic Centre. 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • General pool maintenance, including cleaning, testing and balancing swimming pools
  • Routine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Schedule and inventory management.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to work autonomously without supervision but also be able to work in a team environment when required
  • Have excellent communication skills, including strong written and spoken English
  • Be well presented, polite and professional in dealings with customers
  • Take pride in their work
  • Have a passion for learning and growing their knowledge.

Essential qualification:

• Aquatic Technical Operator / Pool Operators Certificate 

• First Aid and CPR Certificate 

• Current Working with Children Check Certificate. 

• Police clearance 


• Pool Lifeguard Certificate 

• Experience in not for profit organisation
