The main pool at Thebarton Aquatic Centre is 25 metres in length. It has seven lanes and goes from 0.9 metres deep at the shallow end and to 3 metres at the deep end. The temperature of the pool is kept at around 28-29 degrees (28 during summer and 29 during winter season). This pool is great for lap swimming and recreational activities. The diverse user groups that use the pool range from lap swimmers, squad groups, Aquaerobic groups, scuba divers, school groups and so on.
The hydrotherapy pool is approximately 10 metres in length. It has 2 lanes and is 1.3 metres deep. The temperature of the pool is kept at 33 degrees. The ramp access into the pool allows ease of entry for disabled people. This pool also has spa bubbles for therapeutic treatments. The depth of this pool is suited for hydrotherapy exercises and some groups that regularly use the pool consist of physiotherapy groups, wheel chair groups, Aquaerobic classes, Learn to Swim classes, sporting clubs and the elderly.
The learners pool at Thebarton Aquatic Centre is approximately 10 metres in length. It has three lanes and is 0.85 metres deep. The temperature of the pool is kept at 32 degrees. This pool is nice and warm for children to learn to swim or for recreational activities. Some user groups that use the pool range from our Learn to Swim program, school groups, birthday parties and general recreation.

The Thebarton Aquatic Centre has male, female, parent, and disabled changerooms to suit the needs of all pool users.
Thebarton Aquatic Centre offers easy access to both the Lap Swimming pool via chair lift, and the Hydro-Therapy pool via ramp. We thank our sponser 'Be Active' for our chair lift.
